Published in : Orchidaceae 5: 184 (1915).

Distribution : Pen. Malaysia (Johor), Sumatera, Philippines (Mindanao).

Remarks : The one on the left came from Indonesia and is popularly known to orchid growers around the world as Bulbophyllum jacobsonii J.J. Sm. whilst the one on the right is known as Bulbophyllum plumatum Ames or Rhytionanthos plumatum (Ames) Garay, Hamer & Siegerist is endemic to Peninsular Malaysia . I however, personally feel that these two species are a separate distinct species as they are very difference from each other as you can see above. For scale, the longer one on the right is about 9.5" tall.
